The Goddess Test

The Goddess Test - Aimee Carter I've been looking forward to reading this book for a few weeks, sadly, I was in the middle of another series so it got pushed back a little. Now I'm disappointed that I didn't read sooner! I absolutely loved it. Love, death, romance and a really intriguing story... all of my favorite things. Aimee's characters were well developed and the plot moved along perfectly until the big finish. The struggle that Kate faces with her mother and moving to a new place felt real and believable. And when you add in the mysterious moony-eyed boy, Henry... well, yeah, I was hooked. After I finished, I made the huge mistake of going in and reading some of the other reviews for the book that have been posted here on Goodreads, and to some of these people I just want to ask: "Did we read the same thing?" It seems some have forgotten the day we all learned the definition of the word "fiction" in elementary school. Aimee took some common stories/concepts that we've all heard about since grade school and put her own spin on them. Who cares if the characters actions in her book didn't match what history says? That's the whole point of being a writer - making it your own. That's exactly what Aimee did, and I have nothing but love for her for doing it.Can't wait to see what's in store for these characters next!Full Review: http://www.fictionators.com/review/the-goddess-test-by-aimee-carter/
