All My Life

All My Life - Rucy Ban I was sent a copy of this book by the author in exchange for a review. And I was really hoping to find an indie author I could support. I loved the cover, and I wanted to like what was underneath it, too. I really did. The premise was fresh in that what had happened to the heroine wasn't something I'd read before, but... There's a huge lack of show vs. tell, timeline issues, an over usage of commas and exclamation points, an abundance of inner monologue and general lack of editing which, unfortunately, made for a sloppy read. I think with a good editor (or a few good editors) to tighten up areas that need work, I would probably feel much differently and might be willing to give this another chance. In it's current form, though, it just didn't work for me.Full review:
